- First trip to the famous race was awesome, with loads of Brits camping around the circuit.
- Cars racing at night was superb to watch.
- Manufacturer prototype entries from Mercedes, Audi, Toyota and BMW.
- American-entries Vipers and Panozs had thunderous, loud engines.
- Surprise win for the BMW squad.
- Mercedes withdrew all three cars after a number of incredible somersault accidents throughout the weekend.
